Suggested Use of Resources*

 

The following modules were designed to be used to develop an understanding of the geographic concepts. Each module explores one of the concepts and students are expected to apply it in a European context and setting.

It is envisaged that that they will primarily be used at Level 3. They have been set out along the lines of a 3.4 Skills and concepts paper and as such would be ideal for practise for this standard. They could also be used with more able students at other levels.

The modules could be tackled in any order although it is suggested that Module 1: Environment is done first as this introduces some concepts about European and the European Union which help in understanding of the other modules.

Module 5: Sustainability – Copenhagen: Eco-city of Europe

Module 6: Process – A ticket to Europe (the process of migration to the EU)

Module 7: Pattern – The pattern of immigration to the EU

Module 8: Perspectives – Free movement with the EU

Module 9: Practise 3.4 paper – The Gabsikovo Dam controversy
